Right...so it'd be helpful to look at the contextual clues we had as well, just in case.
So...people reporting a strange compelling feeling, or a feeling like being 'filled up.' It looks like it varies but invigoration and a feeling like needing to stay are the most common, especially as you go deeper into the forest.
There's a shadow that shows up at night to watch. It's huge but tentatively not hostile, since it hasn't tried attacking yet. Could be that it can't, but I'm not so sure; I don't sense any malevolence off of it, anyway.
The ship is obviously downed, sent out an SOS so it wasn't an intentional landing. Similar to the Marvisa, maybe not the same but some identical deck layouts. I made a map of what we can tell so far, though I haven't gone any deeper since I wanted to be able to leave quickly. A deeper expedition log might be useful here.
