Sorey has a few powers that may affect your character, should you so choose! Please see below for details.


DOMAIN: Current Strength: Low

For characters with strong spiritual senses, they may notice that Sorey has a sort of purifying aura around him, in a bubble, maybe like twenty feet or so. The air smells a little fresher, the water tastes a little better, the atmosphere feels safer; things like that. A domain with Low strength will only provide a sense of gentle peace and tranquility; a domain with Medium strength will feel more like a benign, clear, protective presence; a domain with High strength will feel close to that of a good-aligned demigod, benevolent and caring.

RESONANCE:

Sorey has extremely sharp spiritual sense of his own, particularly of the empath type. He can sense weakness of heart, emotional turmoil and general negativity. He can also usually tell who is nonhuman, and he can see ghosts, spirits, gods and the like. If your character has any extreme trauma or conflicting feelings, he'll be able to see its intensity almost like a dark shroud around their person.

Can Sorey sense your character's spiritual state? Almost certainly. He's a spirit, just not in the sense of Seraphim. He's Compassion.
How bad/good/what-have-you is your character/how much can Sorey sense? Cole is a living embodiment of Compassion and Mercy. That will be very tangible, he's driven by a need and want to alleviate suffering and cruelty and acts of compassion by others actually empower him.

Anything else? Mercy isn't always nice. He is an assassin. Sometimes, people gotta die to make things better.

Anything else? I think he can also pick up on the spirit magic that she does whenever she casts her spirit artes!

THAT'S OKAY!! i'm pretty familiar with tox, i think i have a good idea of what sorey would see with her. conflicting emotions actually ping harder on the malevolence scale than outright "badness," since sorey hangs out with an assassin and she's just as pure as he is. it's more a matter of whether or not you're strong in your beliefs and the like and since most negative emotions conflict with that (like envy/jealousy, guilt, greed and regret) it's usually negative emotions that ping hardest

I went human BUT he's is post Inquisition, not trespasser and he has retained regained a lot of his spirit self here, being unconstrained by preconceptions around him. He can be noticed by people, but usually chooses not to be on stations. He has more complex emotions and memories than a spirit, but he's reconnected with his spirit side due to an excessive amount of Solas for a while.

Solas is a condition, right?

Hermione is super good - like, genuinely, she tries so hard to be good it's gotten her almost killed more times than she can count. She does have quite a few issues with guilt and sadness and regret (she has killed someone in her previous game and also a lot of people died because of her, plus the scarring on her face from breaking a Vow) so those things will haunt her a bit. Generally, she won't have too much in the way of anything malevolent; she's too pure hearted for that, but the guilt and regret will definitely be a thing!

Can Sorey sense your character's spiritual state? Absolutely!
How bad/good/what-have-you is your character/how much can Sorey sense? Solas is on the border of good/bad and he tiptoes over it quite a lot. He basically caused a lot of problems in his canon and almost destroyed the world a handful of times by doing what he thought was the right thing. He still plans to do that all over again and by doing so he'll basically kill everyone ever, so that's something that will generate a little malevolence, I think. He's also carrying around a huge amount of guilt, regret, sadness and pain, he is an emotional coward and very bitter and frustrated with other elves and people of the sort.

OK COOL... cause I haven't played ToZ and I probably won't be able to for awhile lol (I still haven't finished ToX2 either haha) orz

BUT BESIDES WHAT YOU KNOW OF HER IN TOX1 CANON, i think she may have SOME negative emotions that's relating to events in DF- like A LOT OF SADNESS over a crosscanon parental figure leaving her. And some envy/jealousy towards people that will be able to see said figure again a lot more easily than she can. I usually describe her emotions in brackets anyway... so I hope that helps?!

How bad/good/what-have-you is your character/how much can Sorey sense? Stefan's a pure-hearted guy at the moment. I'd pin him down as neutral good, alignment-wise. He doesn't mind bending a rule or two, but he's got a bad case of chronic hero syndrome and thinks of other people before himself (even when he shouldn't).

HOWEVER, Stefan has a split personality called the Ripper. The Ripper is essentially him without humanity. Mass murderer, affably evil, cares for himself before others - and as long as Stefan keeps his humanity on, everything's all clear. I don't have any plans to unleash him, so that shouldn't ping Sorey? Stefan is also a vampire but tbh that's a neutral creature in TVD land.


Anything else? SO. Stefan has a scary amount of malevolence. His deal: he's a reincarnation constantly wrestling with the question "who am I?" and it's almost an obsession some days. Not so much when he's in his element (ie, in an interfaith center or in a prayer room or the med bay) but it crops up a lot. He doesn't hate himself but there's a lot of regret and angst there.

He doesn't want to become Salvatore (his past life) again but he's heading there at the cost of his new life (Alesci) and it worries him more than he wants to admit. His heart is incredibly strong considering his circumstances, and he's working on getting his act together! It's just a huge burden, and one that weighs over him about 24/7.

sorey probably won't be pinged, no; if the ripper ever shows up i'll ask more details then because sometimes even 'evil' beings don't ping if they truly believe in what they're doing as the right thing, so. LIKE if there's no room for doubt or envy or jealousy, IT'S ALMOST LIKE if they are righteous even while being wrong i guess

Nah, that makes sense! The Ripper's got quite a guilt complex (his whole shtick is that he murders people, then gets so guilty about ripping people to shreds that he'll try to put them back together), so that should be. Interesting if it ever comes to light.

SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. o7 He doesn't always have conflicting emotions, but there's enough doubt here to last an eternity.

How bad/good/what-have-you is your character/how much can Sorey sense? UHHH...

Sasuke's family was stuck with what's called 'the curse of hatred' in canon -- I know, it's bad -- and when all of them were slaughtered he pretty much got stuck with the entire burden himself. The further he falls in canon, whether it's by killing people or being reminded of what he's lost, his chakra is described as growing darker, colder, and generally more evil. This is his family's whole legacy.

Right now he acts pretty emotionless on the outside but has just swung over to being a good guy, so he's working on redeeming himself. He's described as being a 'pure soul', but that is choked with a ton of lingering hatred. It's a process. So Sorey would probably get bogged down at first blush by a LOT of negativity but there's a strong nugget of good underneath it all, since his hatred is tied up in the fact that he has a huge capacity to love people and therefore he snaps when he loses them. Which he did. A lot. Like five times, it's bs.

Can Sorey sense your character's spiritual state? Absolutely!
How bad/good/what-have-you is your character/how much can Sorey sense? Oh man, okay. Celeste is a good person at heart, but she has been burned throughout her life, and it's caused her to suffer a good deal of cynicism and bitterness toward the world. She doesn't trust easily, can have a vicious temper when she's pushed hard enough (never violent, but shredding with words is totally on the table), and has quite a hard, solid core of self-doubt and fear about her worth. They're the sorts of things she works very hard to hide with masks of dry (or outright gallows) humour, disdain, a million other things, but an empath is a whole other matter.

She's definitely not malevolent, though, just badly hurt and carrying some darkness in her heart because of that.

Anything else? Celeste is what's known as gifted, but having a gift (superpower) doesn't make her superhuman in any way, so I don't think that should be an issue. She will be prickly if she realizes she's being read, both because she's pretty invested in being able to present as she chooses, and because her gift is Nullification by Proximity - she cancels out other gifts when people get within close enough range of her in her own world, so she's had a safeguard against that kind of thing for most of her life, even when she was in a school devoted to psionic powers. She really took it for granted, and being left vulnerable to such powers here is a hard issue for her to face.
